#EndSlutShaming

According to Wikipedia, slut shaming is the act of making, or attempting to make, a person, especially a woman or girl, feel guilty or inferior for certain sexual behaviors, circumstances, or desires that deviate from traditional or orthodox gender expectations, or that which may be considered to be contrary to natural or religious law. Some examples of circumstances where women are "slut-shamed" include violating accepted dress codes by dressing in sexually provocative ways, requesting access to birth control, having premarital, casual, or promiscuous sex, or being raped or otherwise sexually assaulted (which is known as victim blaming).

Unfortunately, people are judged all the time based on their color, sex, religion etc. All this is a big problem, however, I would really love to address the problem that is slut shaming. It is not only a problem girls/women face because of how they dress or their sexual life, it also gets scarier. A raped woman is less likely to come forward because she is scared of getting blamed for it. Being told "you asked for it"... How many times have you heard or seen people talk about a girl, saying how slutty she is, telling her she's asking to be groped in a club..?

My point is, we live a society designed for us to fit in. It's just like expecting one shoe size to fit all. As similar as human behavior is, we still are individuals. As long as someone is not doing any personal harm to you, let people live the life they want to live. Let a girl have the sex life she wants, let a woman wear watever she wants, let women control their reproductive health, let women be  No one wants to be judged for the person they are, so lets extend the same courtesy to everyone. A girl is not dressing a certain way because she's asking to be sexually or VERBALLY violated. We all have the right to express ourselves in any way shape or form. It is our prerogative!

Love one another,

J
