#1. NEW FRIENDS ARE HARD TO MAKE:
It’s hard enough maintaining old friendships let alone
making new friends. In your twenties, you have a tight knit group of good friends
that won’t probably change for the rest of your life. Most of my friends are
from high school and even though most of them live far away from me, we still
keep in touch and still feel that closeness despite the distance. I have a best
friend that I talk to mostly everyday and I have really good friends too that I
love dearly. Friendship for me is the ultimate relationship. I love laughing
with my friends, joking and just knowing you can completely be yourself. New
friends are rare. I personally feel no need for new friends although I’m always
open to it.

#2. HUMOR IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LOOKS:
OK, I hit the jackpot because not only my man is sexy as, he
also makes me laugh. In your teens, it’s all about the looks. A six pack is
amazing but 3 months in, the sexiest guy can easily become the most annoying
person in the world. In your 20’s you start thinking about life in the long
term and you definitely don’t want to be stuck with an annoying prick all your
life.
#3. YOU CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE:
In your teens, you care what your friends think, what your
parents think, what the stranger passing you by think but in your 20’s you care
less and less. Once you start becoming your own person, the only opinion that matters in the one you
have of yourself.

#4. PEOPLE WILL COME AND GO IN YOUR LIFE AND ITS OK:
We outgrow people and as we evolve some people are left behind.
Don't
let your memories be the only reason you're keeping the relationship — be it
familial, platonic, or romantic. Perhaps the person you're hanging onto is no
longer the person you once knew and loved. Cut your losses, remember the good
times, and move on. And people who leave you behind? Well, you can't stop that
from happening. When someone tells you it's over, believe them, and let them
go. And don't be sad if they leave a hole in your life when they leave. Trust
me, the hole will be filled up.
#5. BEING DIFFERENT IS TOTALLY COOL, WEIRD IS COOL:
Remember when you used try to fit into a certain mold and
hide your differences. That was a high school mentality influencing you. But at
some point in your 20s, you stopped giving a damn. Quirks are what make people
unique. Hypothetically speaking, having an Instagram devoted to your squid
obsession could be weird to some people, but hey, different strokes for
different folks! So embrace your inner squid lover. . . er, I mean true self.
#6. DON’T EVER CHECK YOUR FACEBOOK IF YOU’RE:
1.
Drunk
2.
Depressed
3.
Just been dumped
4.
Unemployed, drunk, depressed and just been
dumped
#7. LET GO OF EXPECTATIONS:
We've all done it... have an idea of what we thought our
lives will be by say 25. It is best to let go of the expectations and work on
our hopes and dreams step by step.
#8. APPRECIATE YOUR OWN LIFE:
The grass is always greener on the other side, until you get
there and realize it’s because of all the manure.
